This really isn't that hard as long as you stay with the big sites and not some obscure site that is run by someone out of his house.
We have a list of the big dating sites here and so this is a no brainier.
What you will want to think of before you try Internet dating is how much time do you have. I have done Internet dating before as well as many other people I know. The main point that always comes up is what a big consumer of time it is. You must really have the time to do this right or you are wasting YOUR time.
One of the biggest stories that always comes to mind is the girl who writes back to the guy and says, "what are you talking about?" or "what do you mean by going to Colorado to ski?" If you don't have the time and you don't keep track, you will most likely slip and reply to someone with an email meant for someone else and/or you may even call someone by someone else's name.
Do you have the time? It's fun. It's easy. But it is a part time job (to do this right).
Make the time (about 3 hours a week).
Make sure you read our disclaimer. We are not responsible for anything that may happen to anyone regarding the personals or online dating. We are merely an information portal. Thank you.

- Get a note book to keep track
- Make sure you have 3 to 7 hours a week to dedicate to this.
- Get a temporary email address. This is so important you have no idea. People (not to scare you but to be safe) can track you sometimes and people can get information on you so by all means, use a temporary email address. Personally, I have used AOL. AOL is now free (if you don't use them to go online). So go to AOL, Yahoo, or Hotmail and get an email address that you will only use for the personals online. When you are done with the personals, then you can delete your email address.
- Try to get the people that you are interested in to write to you at your personal own email address. This moves the step forward and prevents you from getting lost in the pack of people all trying to get with this same person.
- DO NOT GIVE OUT YOUR PHONE NUMBER!!!!
Wait until you have had lunch with this person a few times and until you know much about THEIR personal life and family and friends before you do anything as stupid as giving out your number to a stranger.
- Meet for lunch in a public place.
This should be a must. Never meet a stranger at your house or theirs. Keep it in a public place until you feel safe.
